In validation Orion Print projects
Party products
We have produced custom party items and learned that the main cost is not just the material: preparation, adjustment and manual work can consume the margin. That is why this line is being reassessed. There is no open offer until a format exists that delivers value for the client and sustainability for the operation.
Stage: Capability in validation
OBOS in practice
How we are developing with criteria
The topper and invitation images in this line are mockups and have always been labeled as mockups: representation, not photography of a finished product. The record also showed that “party products” holds too many processes for a single promise; before any offer, the method requires choosing a small, testable set, measuring finish and volume under real conditions and defining lead times with margin.
Until the portfolio decision is made, we would rather keep this line in the laboratory than keep a storefront we cannot sustain.
What we still need to prove
- A recorded portfolio decision: rescoping into higher-value kits with a minimum quantity, or a declared pause.
- If it continues: define the first product set, with specifications and exclusions.
- Validate files, art proofing, finish and batch at target volume.
- Measure capacity and safe lead time before any date promise.
This is how we work inside Órion itself: decisions with an owner and a date, named validations, and sales only after the criteria. OBOS is the system that organizes it from the inside.
